Digital Studio Mini Portfolio
1D: understands properties of two- and three-dimensional space and the fourth dimension, time. 2D: collaborates with other arts specialists in developing inter-related artworks. Description: This mini portfolio consists of a stop motion video, a logo, a photomontage, and a still life. They were all created digitally in different programs. The stop motion video was created using a camera and iMovie. The logo was created in Adobe Illustrator. The photomontage was created in Adobe Photoshop, and the still life was created using Corel Painter. Rationale: These digital works demonstrate my understanding of two- and three-dimensional space and the fourth dimension, time. They show that I can use digital media to create 2D and 4D works of art using a variety of professional programs. I worked with two of my peers on the stop motion video, which shows my ability to collaborate with other artists. The video is an example of working in the fourth dimension of time. Evidence: |
Personal Logo
5B: understands how visual arts function in commercial applications (e.g., mass media, environmental and product design). Description: Included in my mini portfolio, there is a logo I designed using Adobe Illustrator. In my design I wanted to include symbols of education and art. I emphasized the word art inside the word smart and combined the image of a paintbrush with the image of a light bulb. These two images work together to make an association between being creative and being smart. Overall the logo represents my work as an art teacher and advocates for art education. Rationale: This logo demonstrates my understanding of how visual arts function in commercial applications. It shows that I can design and create interesting logos that send a clear and quick message to a large audience. Evidence: |
